TruBlu Genetics only provides MOET (Multiple Ovulation Embryo Transfer) embryo collection, and embryo transfer.
MOET embryo production results in embryos with a higher hold rate when compared to IVF, and negates the chance of any large calves due to the use of IVF media.
We can collect donors all year round, rain, hail, or shine although we do need a place indoors to set up lab. Donors need to be at least 60 days post calving before we can flush. We can repeat flushes every 35 days after that.
The average embryo cost works out to around $1500 per donor. On average, a donor will produce 5 embryos, but this widely depends on individual animals, breed, age, BCS, and many other factors. I have seen donors produce as many as 65 embryos!
As unfortunate as it sounds, sometimes a donor produces no embryos and doesn't respond to the superovulation schedule as anticipated. No flush charge will apply if your donor produces no embryos! We can either try again with a different superovulation schedule or talk over your other options to successfully produce embryos with your donor.
